Love List | November Edition...

A Sassy Red Head, The Living Dead and
10 Other Things That Made My November Nifty.
.

1. Chicago
I finally got to cross another amazing city of my Must-See-List this month and the Windy City did not disappoint. From Boystown, to the Loop, to 'the L', Chicago earned a spot as one of my favorite destinations and I can't wait to go back! Maybe next time with a little warmer weather, I'm thinking May. I hear it's lovely that time of year.

2. Zombieland
Screw the sparkly vampires and the hairless werewolves, Zombies are really where it's at this year. (See!) I had been hearing great buzz about this comedy for weeks, but just finally got around to watching it. (At Brewvie's no less. Love that place!) This ain't your momma's night -of-the-living-dead kind of a movie. If you can still find it in your area on the big screen, GO! If not-- when it comes out on DVD make sure to check out Tallahassee, Columbus, Wichita and Little Rock battle to survive in a life after people. Zombieland earned even more bonus points with the use of typography throughout the film. You know how I love my fonts! Rule#1. CARDIO.

3. Mark Salling
Team Puck.

4. Lady Gaga's 'Bad Romance'
Music Video
L.G. has been rocking my world as of late ... and that was even before I even saw the music video for Bad Romance. That just blew the roof off of me going ga-ga for Gaga. Since I don't have MTV (not that they play them anymore) I rarely even know what music videos accompany a song nowadays. So that fact that this was so visually amazing and the song rocks, this warranted multiple viewings on Youtube. It really is one of the best music videos ever made!
.

5. Subtle Sexuality
Every one's favorite Office gals Kelly Kapoor & Erin Hannon formed a new girl group called Subtle Sexuality in a series of webisodes for nbc.com this month. Their hit single Male Prema Donna leaves me in stitches. And it's strangely addictive! The video might not compete with Lady Gaga, but they are just as promising as most crap out there nowadays! Plus they have cameos by Andy, and the song's inspiration Ryan. And there's something Lady Gaga can't claim.

6. Coke's Redesigned 2-Liter Bottles
Is it possible for a plastic bottle to be cute?
Because my answer is "Yes!"

7. Google's Sesame Street Logos
In honor of Sesame Street's 40th Anniversary, Google debut a series of clever logos to celebrate such a milestone. It was like a blast from my childhood, and some of the best Google logos this year (which honestly sometimes can be kind of lame, or at least confusing. I'm looking at you Veteran's Day!) See them HERE. Cookie Monster, Oscar the Grouch and Bert & Ernie are my favorites.
.

8. Kathy Griffin 'Live' &
9. 'Official Book Club Selection'
This month I got a double dose self proclaimed D-Lister, even though she's not on that List anymore. I'm not the biggest book reader, they tend to put me to sleep, but not Kathy's memoir. She put out a great book that's exactly what you'd expect from her, with a few shockingly deep revelations. Openly talking about stuff that most would hide under the rug. Later in the month, I got to see her live at Abravanel Hall with my friend Shila and just about every homo in Utah, place wuz packed! From row 14(!) I was rolling as she dished on all things pop culture and Hollywood. Kathy makes me laugh, both in print and in person. Nuff' said.

10. jimcarrey.com
If you haven't visited this website-- you must! Even if you're not a fan of his acting, you will enjoy this amazing piece of digital eye-candy. I was mesmerized by all the fun things to see and do on his newly relaunched site. Put together by 65 Media, they've taken creativity to a whole 'nother level and I so dig it! It's like a weirdo dream you can't explain, but don't want to leave.

11. Will Phillips
Few people really have the courage to truly stand by their beliefs especially when they might not concur with the mainstream point of view. So when I heard of a 10-year-old Arkansas boy so committed to his, regardless of school yard teasing and taunting, I knew he'd earned a spot on my List this month. Will Phillips is so freaking adorable, smart as a whip... and gives me hope for the future. I love this kid!

12. Junk Food
November is traditionally thought of as a month when stuffing your face is the norm, well for me that was totally the case. With a sweet spot for sweets, I definitely enjoyed binging on the likes of cookies, chocolate Twizzlers and those damn Cookies N' Creme candy bars. (Yes, they are my crack, and I got hooked again... but after being clean for about six weeks!) Anyway, the results don't belong anywhere on my Love List. Chubby doesn't look good on me. I'm quitting cold turkey. Mark my words, junk food won't be appearing on next month's list.

13. Mo & Mit
Not that my little puddy-tatts don't deserve a permanent spot on my Love List (because they do, much like 30 Rock and Ryan Reynolds) it's just that this month they were extra adorable. Ever since I got back from Chicago, they've been far more lovey and cuddly. I think that means they missed me!! Mo has slept on my bed most nights (when he's not resting in front of the heater vent.) And Mit and Mo both love their naps laying between my legs during TV time. I love my boys, only this month a little bit more!
