Chicago Snaps I...

I got to spend another fantastic Memorial Day weekend in the Windy City. After a crazy start (-nearly missed flight- missing bags, Oy!) it was all uphill from there; a much deserved break from the real world. I enjoyed catching up with friends and had a great time. As the weekend wrapped up I got to entertain myself and so some solo-sightseeing in the Loop. (A fact my Mom only learned of when I was back safe and sound on Utah soil.) So, what happens when I got to spend an entire (hot) day exploring downtown? Well, other than a sweaty tank top... a few hundred snapshots. Here I present to you the best of the best. Chicago is quickly becoming one of my go-to vacation destinations. Without further adieu, Enjoy!

Chicago Snaps II...

LET'S CONTINUE OUR SIGHTSEEING TOUR THROUGH THE LOOP,
SHALL WE?

It was another great Chicago getaway!
I'm already counting down until the next one.

Merci Beaucoup...

I just wanted to thank my friends Randy and Rusty for their hospitality during my latest Chicago adventure. I can't tell you just how much I appreciate it... but at least a public blog Thank You is a good place to start!

Thanks Randy!...

I just wanted to officially thank (yet again) Randy for being a wonderful host (yet again) for my repeat trip to Chicago. I had a great time and had loads of fun... but also got the relaxing break from the real world that I so needed. I appreciate your hospitality and friendship mister! You may have created a monster, I can't wait to do it again! Especially now that you've moved out of East Stabbington. (LOL)

Chicago 2010, Take 2...

I decided to break out the old camera and capture some fun shots to celebrate my third trip to the wonderful Windy City. I can't wait until next time...

For Dad...

No trip to the Windy City would be complete without a couple snapshots just for my Dad. I think you might know why.

Hillbilly Halloween...

One of the reasons I enjoy going to Chicago over Halloween is because my friend Randy loves the haunted holiday just about as much as I do. This year we (er, he) mixed it up by going as something actually living. (His sister was sure to point this out). Initially the plan was to go as hillbilly zombies, but time restraints prevented our bodies from decomposing. It was a great night out in Boystown, even life I was out in freezing temps in my night bloomers. At least I still have a rill' purdy mouth, even with the teeth (er, tooths) chattering.

Everyone Loves a Parade...

Chicago's NorthHalsted district transforms itself to a major Halloween destination each year, With a big parade, costume contests and THOUSANDS of festive revelors. It is something everyone should experience at least once in their life. And luckily now I've got two under my belt! Maybe I'll make it back next year for the 15th Annual spooktacular.

8 Most Popular Costumes of 2010...

With all the thousands of people cramming Boystown for the big Halloween extravaganzas, a few costume trends emerged. While you may have rocked the following looks this year, you were hardly original. I was surprised with number one. Timely and topical I guess. And who doesn't love a happy ending. Even on Halloween.
