Who ordered the White Christmas?! Right on cue, which made for an interesting and slow commute out to Grandma's house. Once finally there. the girls and I took holiday flowers to the cemetery before dinner.

♥...
Remembering my family members that have passed today. Grandma and Grandpa J, Grandma and Grandpa C, Aunt Lynette, Aunt Carolee and sister Amy. One of the things that suck about getting older, is the knowledge that this list will only grow.

Black and White...
I stumbled upon some priceless black and white photos at my Grandma's house. I can't wait to discover more. I am obsessed. So much history in 92 years...

Grateful...
My Grandma spent most of December 4th unresponsive in the hospital (after a fall a few days earlier.) That morning she had told the nurses, "Tell my children goodbye for me". They sent her back to the Assisted Living center and notified her family. Those of us who were able to visit rushed over that evening. A crazy thing happened she rallied and the entire time we were there she was present and clear minded and recognized us. (Although all the people and even more so all the pictures confused her.) We all thought maybe this was a false alarm. She had been suffering from dehydration and the only thing she wanted was a Pepsi. We got her one and she enjoyed every last drop of it (holding on to that cup with a death grip!). When it was time for us all to depart home, she begged us all not to leave. "Oh you don't have to go now, just stay a little later, you can leave in the morning." I haven't seen her as much as I'd like over the past several months, but words cannot express how grateful I am for this Wednesday evening visiting with my Grandma. She passed early the next morning. xo-

Nine Things [Repost]...
REPOSTING this Blog List, originally shared in November 2011 for my Grandma's 90th Birthday. It's often the simplest things that give us the happiest memories.

You think YOUR Grandma makes the best cookies... Think again!
These are as coveted as they are cozy. And I have several.
Christmas Eve wouldn't be complete without a visit from the big guy.
(And at least one crying child.)

Red was her original signature color. Until it became Blue.
Pancakes and grape juice. Must be breakfast next door at Grandmas!
"Don't forget to bring Grandma home a bell."
The perfect summertime treat for the grandkids.

Never leave a toddler alone in a car while you run into the Post Office.
Lesson Learned.

Grandmas got to pay the bills too!
