Love List | February Edition...

VINTAGE GWYNETH, RAINY NIGHTS and 10 MORE THINGS
THAT I FOUND FANTASTIC THIS FEBRUARY.

1|CATFISH
I went into this film not knowing anything about it. And I liked that fact. I had no idea what was coming and just had to go along for the ride. So rather than spoil any details or give anything away-- I suggest just blindly throwing it in your Netflix queue and let this story unfold in front of you. It is definitely one that left me thinking for days. Will it have the same effect on you?

2| 21 by ADELE
A lot of you are jumping on the "A is for Adele is Awesome" bandwagon right about now. Not me. I've been singing her praises since 19 was the magic number (years ago.) Her new sophomore album '21' is another smashing triumph; debuting at number 1 on the charts. All of this praise and success, she rightly deserves! Girl is one gifted bird. The album is brilliant. I'm clearly obsessed (still) and have been wearing out my earphones appreciating her talent (over and over again!) So what are you waiting for? Download this today, there's still room on the Adele bandwagon!

3|BORN THIS WAY SINGLE & MUSIC VIDEO
by LADY GAGA
'' I'm beautiful in my way
'Cause God makes no mistakes
I'm on the right track baby
I was born this way
Don't hide yourself in regret
Just love yourself and you're set
I'm on the right track baby
I was born this way ''

Bonus points for the Vertigo-riffic music video opening... and the hot Zombie Boy cameo! And who doesn't love a glitter unicorn? Sing it sista! Can't wait to see you live in person, in a few short weeks!

4|THE KING'S SPEECH
The King's Speech was the 8th movie (of the 10 best picture nominees-- not too shabby) that I got to check out prior to the awards show. I'm glad I did. It was a great and lovely film, thanks in no small part to its stellar cast: (Oscar winner) Colin Firth (amazing!) Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush. I was still routing for The Social Network, but wasn't too upset (or surprised) by its win. Plus there's a nifty fun fact regarding it's movie set. Something the Social Network can't claim. Just sayin'.

5|SLEEPMAKER RAIN & STORM APP
Who need sheep to count when you have this dreamy app? When the light's go out, this app goes on. I love it, and have been using it nightly. Now, back to dream land. I'm sleepin' in the rain. Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z...

6|'BACK TO THE FUTURE' PHOTO BLOG
I LOVE this photographer's ongoing web project. It is amazingly creative, and made me want to do a few recreations of my own. A word from it's creator:
"I love old photos. I admit being a nosey photographer. As soon as I step into someone else’s house, I start sniffing for them. Most of us are fascinated by their retro look but to me, it’s imagining how people would feel and look like if they were to reenact them today... A few months ago, I decided to actually do this. So, with my camera, I started inviting people to go back to their future." - IRINA WERNING

Be sure to check it out HERE.

7|BIG LOVE SEASON 4 and 5
This favorite HBO series' 4th season was a little too telenovela, but I still enjoyed the over the top Hendrickson trials during it's (weakest) 2010 season. (Mormon casinos!? Smuggling exotic birds?! Cummon) Plus, TV shows don't have a very good track record when they move the action south of the border. [See: Weeds.] Thankfully Big Love has more than redeemed itself in its fifth and final season, focusing back on everyone's favorite Utahn first family. Only a few episodes to go before it all wraps up. What's in store? We'll just have to wait and see. But it's been a great ride. With a one or two plot line exception of course.

8|CHLOE on YOUTUBE
It's recently come to my attention that I am obsessed with this viral Internet superstar. Check out everyone's favorite second wife/hipster celebrity: Chloe! It's also come to my attention that I really love toa-est. Me and Ms. Sevigny have so much in common.

9|S&M by RIHANNA
I seriously think your iPod is lacking in kinky cardio tunes.
This song will help resolve that shortage.

10|PIRATE TALK on FACEBOOK
Ahoy! If you ever wanna entertain yourself on Facebook, change your language setting to English: Pirate. Many grains of sand in the hour glass later, you'll still be finding great laughs so leave the setting for a few days (or longer) Arrr!! me mateys, welcome to me nu ship!!

11|SLIDING DOORS
No, you did not take a time machine to 1998 to read this month's Love List. I finally (emphasis finally) got around to seeing Sliding Doors; better known as Gwyneth's breakout role (where she doesn't loose her head in a box). I loved the premise of the film and it really made me think about fate, chance, and life in general. So if you're like me and more than a decade behind, add it to your Netflix list. Better late than never!

12|HAILEE STEINFELD in TRUE GRIT
My favorite part about True Grit was it's break out star. The fabulous and sassy teen (she was born the year I graduated High School-- gad!) was incredible and mesmerizing on screen. She rightly deserved her best acting nomination-- even if it was in the supporting role category-- even if she was the main character-- and in every scene of the movie.
