LOVELIST: November Edition...

If you're one of the couple dozen people in the world who has yet to see this beautiful, exiting, thrilling Hunger Games sequel, What the hell is wrong with you!?  Also, get yourself to the theater, pronto!  May the odds be ever in your favor!  (Also I have a crush on 85% of the cast, so that's just an eye-candy bonus!)

Haters gonna hate, but I loved me some Gaga...
and her latest album didn't disappoint.
Some of my favorite tracks include: Swine, Fashion!, Dope and Gypsy.
I give her my applause... My applause... applause.

86-year-old Irving Zisman takes a trip from Nebraska to North Carolina to take his 8 year-old grandson, Billy, back to his real father.  Hilarity ensues.

I've been hearing rumblings about the band Haim (rhymes with 'time') for quite a while now, this month I finally decided to check them out (pre-SNL performance). According to Wikipedia, their sound has been described as "nu-folk-meets-nineties-R&B".  Now I see what all the hype was about.  They are my official first New Band Discovery of the Month (part 1... keep reading).  Favorite tracks of their debut studio album include:  Falling, The Wire, Don't Save Me and Forever.

This inspiring kick-ass lil' Super Hero had me feeling all the feelings this month... while reminding us all what is right in this world.  (That is until Black Friday rolled around and confirmed all that's wrong with it!)  Calling Batkid!  I need you in the news fighting crime more often!  We all need you!  Our Hero!

This Canadian electronic music group was my second favorite New Band Discovery of the Month (Part 2.) A big thanks to Demetri for yet another fantastic recommendation!   You've got a winning track record!  Favorite tracks include:  What We DoneHome, and You Changed My Life. (But truth be told I love them all!)

The best cooking show on TV is back.
And in one of my favorite cities no less!

Where in the world are you?! (Cue This song) Any-who, this addicting online geographic discovery game takes random Google Street View locations and you simply guess their location.  You earn points each round based at how close you were.  Put your High School geography skills to the test.   Now go, the world awaits!  Try it for yourself HERE.

Lily Allen skewers the music industry in her latest brilliant-sarcastic-catchy-ahmahzing single. And I loved every second of it.  "A feminist anthem through and through!"  Like I said, it's bloody Brilliant!  Watch the NSFW music video HERE

I was trying really hard to fit Thor 2 into my schedule so I could have a true hot Superhero trifecta this month, but sadly I didn't get around to it.  That being said Superman and Iron Man didn't disappoint. Two sexy super heros are better than none!

When I said that The Great Gatsby was the soundtrack of the Year earlier this Spring, I may have spoke too soon-- because this Month's #1 came along with a phenomenal playlist.  My favorites include Lorde's Everybody Wants to Rule the World cover(!), Sia's Elastic Heart, Imagine Dragon's Who We Are, Santigold's Shooting Arrows at the Sky and Phantogram's Lights.  (At this point I might as well just go ahead and list the entire tracklist.  It's all great!) Between this and all my other music obsessions, the past 30 days have been filled with some great ear candy indeed!

It just may be one of my most favorite meals of the year.
Nom. Nom. Nom.
And yes, I'll have seconds.

And thirds the next day!

Dear Downton Abbey  ,
I  have been enjoying your quality television program for a few seasons now.  Thanks to my friend, John    I have been able  to catch the upcoming  season  4  this month.  However I must admit that it has been somewhat lacking and rather  slow/uneventful  .
Now, don't get me wrong. I've still been tuning in, I just want you to step up your game!   I don't want to break up with you, but just ask Weeds   , I totally will.   Oh and feel free to kill off annoying  Bates   .  I've never liked him.
Love Casey

Dear Homeland       ,
I  have been enjoying your quality television program for a few seasons now.  Thanks to my friend, Shila    I have been able  to catch the current  season  3  this month.  However I must admit that it has been somewhat lacking and rather  underwhelming  .
Now, don't get me wrong. I've still been tuning in, I just want you to step up your game!   I don't want to break up with you, but just ask  Glee   , I totally will.   Oh and feel free to kill off annoying  Saul   .  I've never liked him.
Love Casey

It's a Fall World...

We had an Autumn themed photo shoot for the upcoming family calendar, or rather correction... The girls played in a mondo pile of leaves, while I snapped some great photos. We wrapped just in the nick of time too.  It snowed the very next day!
