♥LIST: November Edition...

{1}Life in a Day
"The 24th of July 2010.... 80,000 Lives.... 4,500 Hours of Footage... 2 Award winning Filmmakers..... Now one incredible motion picture event. What began life as a startling cinematic experiment becomes the must see movie experience of the Summer. Created entirely from footage uploaded by YouTube users, Life in a Day is a film first: exhilarating, moving and very, very funny... it is the story of our world. Told by us." -National Geographic

"I laughed. I cried. It made me think. It gave me gratitude. I was moved. This is a must see in every sense of the word. Not bad from a bunch of Youtube videos, eh?" -Casey Castagno

{2}A She & Him Christmas
Just because it's not December yet doesn't mean that I couldn't get a head start... and naturally that's just what I did! (Coming from the guy that has two beautifully decorated trees in his one bedroom apartment.) This is easily my new favorite Holiday album of the year; courtesy of the indie band She & Him (Why, yes... that is Zooey Deschanel!) I absolutely adore it and their songs makes a perfect addition to my Ultimate Christmas playlist. Whether I'm busy at work, driving in my car... or at home decking my halls (but then again as we've previously covered... I'm already done with that) it's the perfect way to get your jolly on this season.

{3}Beginners
"Oliver meets Anna only months after his father Hal has passed away. This new love floods Oliver with memories of his father who - following 44 years of marriage - came out of the closet (at age 75) to live a full, energized, and wonderfully tumultuous gay life. The upheavals of Hal's new honesty, by turns funny and moving, brought father and son closer than they'd ever been able to be. Now Oliver endeavors to love Anna with all the bravery, humor, and hope that his father taught him." -IFC

It's never to late to remodel one's life as
Beginners so beautifully displays.
(A message I get to take to heart in my own life. It's never too late.)

{4}Breaking Bad: Seasons 3 & 4
Well I'm finally caught up on all the craziness in one of my all-time TV obsessions. While other favorites in the past have puttered out creatively at this point (*cough Weeds *cough!) Breaking Bad is still going strong. The twists and the turns are amazing, and I can't wait to see where they take me when Season 5 returns next Summer. I feel like I can't wait that long for another hit though, does that make me an addict?

{5}Horrible Bosses

And you thought you had a bad Boss!

{6}Tortilla Crusted and
Basil Pesto Tilapia

If you asked me a few years ago if fish would ever appear on my Love List, I would have slapped you. Seafood and I have never really been on good terms (translate: gag!) but things sure enough are changing with age...and a more elevated food palate. I stumbled on this delicious tilapia and it has made frequent appearances at my dinner table this month; helping me on my journey to more healthy eating habits. (Hell, even my niece loved it!) The next time you're out at Costco be sure to stock up. I did. Nom. Nom. Nom.

{7}It's Time PSA by GetUp!
It's Time. Period.
(Now please pass me another Kleenex.)

{8}Jessica Lange
Yes, I've gotten even more obsessed with American Horror Story. (Even more than I was last month!) I've spent the past several weeks spreading the word, creating countless new fans. (Okay, maybe it is countable, but still, the numbers are very high!) My personal AHS favorite has to be the phenomenal Jessica Lange as the mysterious and oh-so-creepy next door neighbor Constance. (Just give her the Emmy already! #InTheBag!) If you haven't been watching, it's never too late! Jump on the bandwagon.. I'm always looking to increase my referral numbers and you'll have to agree, she's... just that good!

{9}Top Chef: Texas
TEAM RICHIE! For the win!
Update: Dammit...already?
I will miss you Chef Richie!

{10}H&M at Fashion Place Mall
After enjoying H&M in places like New York, Chicago and San Francisco it was about time that one of my favorite stores opened a location in Utah. Finally! I've only made an appearance once after the grand opening, and while I didn't buy anything (the line was far to long for my mood that day) I'm sure you'll see me there quite often getting my fashion on while snagging up some bargains!

{11}Lucy
She's Here!
Born 11/11/11.

Welcome Baby Girl!
It's a pleasure to finally meet you.

{12}Mio
Nothing short of a miracle could help break me of my fondness (some might call it an addiction) for Coke Zero and Pepsi Max (I go for which ever is on sale)... but this convenient and tasty water enhancer might be just the thing. It totally helped curbing my soda cravings this month. Pass me another water please!

{13}Is Ryan Gosling
Cuter Than A Puppy?

Ryan Gosling -vs- Puppies! Could there be any more formidable competitors on the planet? Some freaking adorable four-legged friends take on the charming super star in this photo face off. Woof!... (I'll let you be the judge who my Woof was for!) Check out this rad website and cast your vote HERE.

{14}X-Men: First Class
I loved this X-man prequel but one question came to mind...
Why is it so much for fun to root for the bad guys?

Team Mystique all the way!

{15}Lonely Boy by The Black Keys
Song of the Month. I can't wait to see what else their new album has to offer,
but if the first single is any indication, I'm going to love it!

{16}Grandma Bernice
It was a fun trip down memory lane, looking back through old photos and reflecting on cherished memories of my dear Grandma as she turned ninety this month. It baffles me sometimes to think about all the changes she's seen in her lifetime. If you missed my blog tribute click HERE. I love you Grandma Bernice! Here's to making it to the big 1-0-0! If anyone can-- she will!

Into The Wild...

For the record I am not anti-real trees, I just find my artificial ones in my basement far more convenient (and already paid for). Besides, they're already up and twinkling beautifully. I like to get a head start on the holidays, what can I say? However, just because I'm done with mine, doesn't mean that I wasn't all for heading to the mountains of Wyoming (on Saturday) with friends as they searched for the perfect pine. (You didn't think I wouldn't take the opportunity to post that scene from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, now would you?) It was actually a lot of fun and the perfect day. Sunshine and glorious... plus the hike in the snow was a great workout, especially after stuffing my face at Thanksgiving the day before. I think we started a tradition though. Who knows, maybe next year I'll join the real-tree bandwagon! Or at least go along for the ride.

Thanks...

This year the Peterson clan invited me to their Turkey Day festivities, and I must say... Best. Thanksgiving. Ever! Thank you Sam and Emily for opening up your beautiful home to the masses... and gracias to all those who supplied the uhmazingly scrumptious food. (There went the diet plan for the week!) I adore y'all and am so happy to be included and feel so loved by your family! (Don't worry my family dinner was just postponed to Sunday when everyone could attend.)

I hope to acquire more photos soon.
Well other than a leg in the sink (don't ask)...
And a table of left-overs (and that's not even half them!)...
or a table of wine.

Ninety Years Young...

I am very fortunate to see my beloved Grandma turn 90 years old today.
I can only imagine the things that she has seen in her lifetime.
Congratulations at reaching such a milestone Grandma Bernice.
I love you!
Happy Birthday.

Sexy and I Know It...

I had a mental block on costumes ideas this year. Hell, I usually know by August. September at the latest... not this year! With time running out, Shila called me on Halloween Eve and finally suggested going as the music group LMFAO. Perfect! (We already had the afro-wigs after all. It was either that or going as groovy 70's swingers. This sounded much more fun!) So with less than 24-hours to spare we threw together this funktastic look. I was literally making the shirt at 10:30pm Sunday night. Not too shabby...but just think of what we could have done with more time. We looked so fab we decided to throw an impromptu photo shoot with our other spirited co-workers. Even if we weren't in Miami (trick) it was still a pretty fun Halloween at work.
