Ten Years...

3,650 days ago today, I headed to the Blue Boutique with my friend Steve and got my tongue pierced. I've had it in for the good part of the past 10 years, only removing it for the occasional surgery and dentist visit. Wow. I can't believe it myself!

Happy Anniversary little bar bell!

Brylee Watch 4/22...

So it's been a while and I know that you've had a hankerin' for a Bubba Update.

She's getting even more cute by the day. Yes, it's possible! I'm actually behind, so I've included a bonus shot from last week for the enjoyment of the masses. (That'd be you Sarah!) Maybe I should consider renaming this the Brylee Blog. Anyway we enjoyed playing on Grandma's feather bed, talking on the phone, sweeping the floor and walking up & down... and up & down... and up & down the stairs.

I love my lil' niece, if you couldn't tell!

Happy Earth Day...

So I've got a new favorite show. An addiction really. I am in love with the Discovery Channel series Planet Earth. Watch it and be amazed and grateful for all that Mother Earth has to offer us. I know I am!

Famous Marley...

Three-year old Marley Peterson runs across some of the hundreds of a quilts stretched across the floor (Al Hartmann/ Salt Lake Tribune )

QUILTING IN THE SKIES
"DELTA AIR LINES EMPLOYEES donated more than 1,200 handmade quilts to Primary Children's Medical Center during a ceremony Tuesday at EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City. The quilts were presented to Sharon Goodrich, director of annual and corporate giving at Primary. Delta gives quilts to children whose illness or injuries require extended hospital stays. Airline employees began the quilting project seven years ago, when flight attendants converted their lounge at Salt Lake City International Airport to make the quilts between flights. Above, 3-year-old Marley Peterson runs across some of the hundreds of quilts."

This Must Be The Place...

In the name of fry sauce, mini-vans and weak mixed drinks at the bar... I'm sooo excited! Guess who's leaving their swanky Las Vegas digs and moving to Salt Lake City?! That's right Sam, Emily and Tarrah. (And it didn't even take hell freezing over either!)

Whoo hooo!

2007 (so far) In Review... MOVIE EDITION

At the beginning of the year I vowed to watch more movies in 2007. Well with the assistance of the handy Red Box just down the street, mission accomplished! So let's re-cap the movies that I've seen over the past three months and hand out a few awards while we're at it. First award: Most Animated DVDs watched by Casey in three month's time. Hey, I'm a good babysitter. What can I say? The kids love me! Almost as much as I love the movies!

Best Picture All Around PAN'S LABYRINTH
The only film I saw in a theater, which as a Sunday matinee, I had the whole place to myself!

Best (New) Eye Candy DANIEL CRAIG in CASINO ROYAL
Literally & figuratively... check out those baby blues!

Favorite Feel Good Movie STRANGER THAN FICTION

Cutest Flick for The Chicks and The Gays THE HOLIDAY

Better Magic Movie THE PRESTIGE

Most Popular MAGGIE GYLLENHAAL in SHERRYBABY, STRANGER THAN FICTION & MONSTER HOUSE

3-Out-of-5 Ain't Bad LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE, BABEL, &THE DEPARTED
Rented Babel and The Departed the Friday before the Academy Awards. And while I first saw Little Miss Sunshine in 2006, I've watched it enough times (over-and-over) on DVD that it qualifies to be mentioned here. Still waiting for The Queen and Letters from Iwo Jima so that I will have seen all of this year's Best Picture nominees.

Favorite Movie to Watch while Watching a Three-Year-Old FLUSHED AWAY

Best Movie I Should Have Seen Two Years Ago JUNEBUG

A complete list of movies I've seen this year:

Babel, Casino Royal, Cinderella III, Crank, The Departed, Flushed Away, For Your Consideration, The Illusionist, Jackass Number 2, Jesus is Magic!, Junebug, Monster House, Open Season, Over The Hedge, Pan's Labyrinth, The Prestige, Red Eye, The Science of Sleep, Sherrybaby, Stranger Than Fiction, Superman Returns, and Talledega Nights.

And a list of movies I will NOT be seeing this year:
