♥LIST: May Edition...

If you're one of the sixteen people on the planet that hasn't yet seen this amazing Summer blockbuster-- get your tush to the theater and check it out.  For the rest of you, go watch it again.  Yes, it's THAT good!

This album just dropped a few short days ago, but like a rocket it shot to the top of the Love List.  Sadly (like with most everything) it was no match for a bunch of super heroes to claim the top spot. (However, three days to #2 ain't half bad!)  With uhmazing tracks like Shady Love, Baby Come Home, and Let's Have a Kiki-- I have been completely OBSESSED.  Spotify, iTunes and iPhone have all been streaming it non-stop. The Scissor Sisters are one of my all time favorite bands.   True to form, their newest creation is already providing me with Hours of entertainment, and will no doubt continue to do so for the foreseeable future.  Living for it!

Oh great, another social media addiction.  Might as well embrace it!  Look me up and be sure to check out super snapshots of my handsome Mit and Mo... and other things too... (Yah, but mostly my adorable kitty-cats.)

My friend Demetri turned me on to Cartoon Network's Regular Show this month. I'd honestly never heard of it-- and if you're like me, you might need a primer.  The series follows two friends, Mordecai (a blue jay) and Rigby (a raccoon) who work as park groundskeepers for Benson (a living gumball machine). Their co-workers are named Skips (a yeti), Pops (a joyful lollipop shaped man), Muscle Man (an overweight green man) and High Five Ghost (a ghost with a hand extending from the top of his head)  Sounds totally regular, right?  You know who else likes Regular Show?  MY MOM. (Watch the show, so you'll get that joke.)  Most episodes are available on YouTube.  It's awesome!

Time Bomb could be the pop hit of the Summer.
I'm casting my vote now.
Tick Tick Tick... Dance!

After living several years at Trolley Manor, it was a pleasant surprise when I found out that my landlord was not only pressure washing the old homestead, but also slapping on a fresh coat of paint.  And we went bold... with a beautiful BYU blue... Recycle bin blue... Smurf Blue...... beautiful Royal Blue accents.  Since I just extended another lease, I also spruced up the porch with flowers and a bold Target welcome mat to match my bold back door. Trolley Manor is now one fancy painted lady.  Home sweet home!

Before Scissor Sisters and Kylie started hogging the air time last week, my computers were playing a steady stream of Röyksopp tunes.  The Norweigen electronic duo's album Junior was my favorite; and the most repeated tracks were The Girl and the Robot, Tricky Tricky and It's What I Want. I love that Spotify helps me discover music from the past.  This was definitely a great find.

After watching her hilarious attempt to make a cheesecake while drunk, followed by the spot on recap of how a diet really works, I knew I was hooked on Ms. Marbles weekly YouTube videos.  This blogger is as funny as she is sassy and beautiful.  She has millions of followers (if you don't mind the swears) you should totally become one as well.  I am. Until next Sexual Wednesday-- I can't wait!

I'm kind of a geek when it comes to this kind of thing.  And not to toot my own horn or anything but I did amazing at this fun brand-identity quiz.  Of the logos I've ever seen... I'd estimate that I got about 85% of them correct.  As for the tricky foreign ones that I've never heard of, that's what the Internet is for.  And technically that doesn't count as cheating, rather helping move on to the next level.  Do I look like I drive a Czech Republic automobile, or drink a Spanish beer?   Available in the iTunes App Store... and good news... it's free!

This is why it matters.
This is why it is important.
Grab some Kleenex, you're going to need them!
Now Watch.

I've been following this New York photographer's blog for months now, but his stunning portraits capturing the diverse, fascinating and lovely New York City residents deserves sharing.  Check it out HERE (and on Facebook).  It's updated daily.  I♥NY... and those that call it home.

My drink of choice this month got renamed in honor of my friend and drinking mate, Jeff's favorite TV Show.  Now it's part of our regular lingo.  Now pass me a "Ancient Alien" and Coke Zero please!

Don't judge!  Admittedly, I feel kinda pervy including this Boy Band on the list.  (Emphasis on 'Boy'... What are they, like 12?)  But, with full disclosure, I cannot deny that I am a fan of their catchy You Don't Know You're Beautiful and recently their Forever Young remake.  File this one under Guilty Pleasure: Now I Feel Old Edition.

Saturday Night Live just became unwatchable.
Thanks for the funnies Ms. Wiig.
You WILL be missed!

Summer Crush Alumni Edition...

So you think that I may have forgotten a few obvious candidates for Summer Crush: Class of 2012, right?  Well some of your favorite hotties have made the list in prior editions.  Four years in, I haven't allowed repeats. (We'll see how long that policy lasts.)  Until then, check out the 15 (okay, technically 19) familiar beautiful faces from Crushes of Yore that totally deserve an honorable mention... and are still very much on my 2012 radar.   Lust away!

♥LIST: April Edition...

I am o-b-s-e-s-s-e-d with M&TD.  Mondo-mega fan here!  So, imagine the horror when I just recently learned that the April 30th 'Electra Heart' release date I'd been counting down to (for months) was actually for it's UK release.  The album wouldn't be dropping in the US-of-A until July(!!!)  Bullocks!  Thankfully the album was recently leaked  early online and I've been living it on heavy rotation-- all week long.  Don't worry, I'll still purchase E.H. when it finally comes out this Summer, supporting my girl Marina.  I just 'Heart' her so much!  I couldn't wait one more minute!

I have always been fascinated by the story of the Titanic. I remember reading books on it, even in Elementary school.  With 2012 marking the 100 year anniversary of the doomed voyage, I soaked up all of the coverage with old and new documentaries online in addition to the recent ABC mini-series. I didn't make it to the theater to watch it re-released in 3-D but that doesn't mean I didn't want to.  I'll just have to wait until the DVD re-release to catch up with Rose and Jack.

I promise you'll be caught saying "Awwwe" out loud... and often throughout this stunning Disney-Nature Documentary.  I want a little Oscar of my own.  He's just so damn adorable.  Awwwe!  (See!)

Since the uh-mahzing Happy Ending's just wrapped it's second season [Sad Face!] ABC had some big post-Modern Family time slot shoes to fill on Wednesday nights.  I'd heard some great early reviews of Apt. 23, and I'm happy to report that Don't Trust the B is off to a great start.  So make a vacancy night and move in with Chloe, June... and Dawson himself, James Van Der Beek.  Yes, THE James Van Der Beek!  Trust me, in Apartment #1.

@Hill:) Totz LOL @ ur HILarious Internet photo blog.  #LMAO.

Even better is that Ms. Clinton was totally game and a good sport.  She meet with the creators of the latest viral meme which started as a joke between two friends.  Could I love her even more?  The answer would be no.

I've recently realized that Salt Lake is the perfect location for road-tripping friends to make a pit stop for a night or two.  Whether traveling East to West, or North to South, I've had several buddies spend some time in my home city.  This month my friend Charlie had the honor during his trek to California for his new job.  I showed off the sites, (Alta snow!)  ate at some tasty grub, (Mmmm!  Ruth's Cafe's macaroni and cheese!) and answered more Mormon questions than I care to recall. (Kolob or bust!)  So to all my friends, who's next?  The welcome mat is always out-- This is the place!

Surprisingly my personal distaste for Tom Cruise did not taint this fun globe-trotting jam packed action flick.   Mission accomplished!

No it's not 2010-- I'm just two years late to the party as I stumbled upon this gem from Sia on Spotify.   It helped me pass the time waiting for Marina's April, July album release.  For those of you with good memories remember that Sia provided the haunting and beautiful soundtrack to the finale  of Six Feet Under; something that moves me to tears, still to this day.  Now there's a blast from the past!   Love List, circa 2005.

You know I love a good shower.  I could spend the whole day in one (if the hot water tank would allow it, and didn't mind looking like a raisin.)  But my daily shower experience was elevated this month with a new upgraded shower head and some gigantic bath towels, sheets.  Getting clean has never been so enjoyable.

Qwiki is a platform that creates interactive, on-the-fly, multimedia presentations of information. It reads automatically selected information from various websites and automatically grabs photos and associated pictures on the subject.  [Think the scene in Wall-E when they learn about Planet Earth.]  Learning has never been so fun and instantly gratifying.  Qwik, try it out for yourself HERE.  It's quite addictive.

After hearing their remixed song, Into the Clouds a few months ago, i decided to Spotify the rest of the 2011 album, Voyage this month.  Along with Sia (#8) The Sound of Arrows, a fantastic electronic duo from Sweden, provided the soundtrack to my April, keeping me company counting down until Marina's debut.  I can't wait to hear more from them in the future!

It's not just adorable kitty-cats, mouth-watering dishes or stunning interiors.  This was the inside joke of the month with my friends... and I am on a mission to get this term into the Urban Dictionary.  You thought you were addicted before?... And that's all I can really say here.  This is a family friendly blog I'm running here.  For the most part.  Now excuse me, PinPo is calling.
