Love List | January Edition...

Adam. Levine. Nekkid.
oh...
and 12 More Things That Brought Me Joy This January.

1|THE SOCIAL NETWORK

2|UNITED STATES OF TARA: SEASON 2
After the highly addictive first season, hopes were high for it's sophomoric Netflix return... and Tara, Buck, Alice, T and a new alter (spoiler!) did not disappoint. Evidence of that, I watched the entire season two... in two days. (Thanks to my friend Jake who was a disc head of me, and made this possible.) Toni Collette is AMAZING, but the rest of the cast also deserves kudos. Check it out. Four out of five multiple personalities would agree.

3|PARKS AND RECREATION: SEASON 3
Thursday nights have felt a bit empty with one of today's best sitcoms M.I.A. I had to wait since Fall for my favorite government workers to make their new season debut. Well, now I can finally say, it was well worth the wait. Parks and Rec is one of the funniest shows on TV. Leslie Knope and the rest of her Pawneeonians(?) crack me up each and every week. My Thursday night NBC comedy block of The Office, P&R, and 30 Rock is complete. I am whole again.

4|RuPAUL'S DRAG RACE: SEASON 3
and UNTUCKED
Gentleman, start your engines because Ru is back for Season 3 of my favorite TV reality competition. It is going to be hard to top last season's fierce fantabulous fun-- but then I said the same thing after Season 1-- And it turned out just as good (if not better.) I have no doubt this years grrrls will rep-reee-sent. You betta work! And the behind-the-scenes series Untucked only adds to the ridicula-drama. (Competing queens locked in a room with free Absolut Vodka =Win) Sooo addicting. I love it! Only one episode in and I've already found my Pandora and Nina Flowers of this cast... Now go snatch that crown girl!

TEAM RAJA!

5|DESPICABLE ME
Those lil' minions are so damn cute. I want one... or one million lil' minions.

But I'd use them for good, well, mostly good.

6|ADAM LEVINE'S
CANCER AWARENESS P.S.A.

This month Maroon 5's Adam Levine encouraged me to play with my balls (for a good cause)... and I was more than happy to oblige! All in the name of good health. Really! See the non-cropped P.S.A. HERE. Now tend to those testicles boys! (Kinda NSFW, but go for it anyway!)

7|HIPSTAMATIC APP
Out of all my nifty iPhone apps since November, this one has got the most usage. Cool vintage lenses, flashbulbs and effects can result in some rad photos, as demonstrated HERE. I've all but abandoned my traditional Canon camera. And I don't expect that trend to change anytime soon. Smize on!
.

8|COUGAR TOWN
I have been a casual-passive watcher of Cougar Town (it does follow Modern Family after all) but never a 100% committed fan. Well, thanks (once again) to Netflix I was able to catch up with the entire first season. I must say this is one hilarious show. Courtney Cox and Busy Phillips are my absolute favorites... but really the entire cast has great chemistry and the writing is top notch. I wanna be these people's friend. Really, I do. Finally, Cougar Town has been upgraded to Must See TV status. Now get me some wine, so I can make a toast-- you know, to make it official! It's not official without a wine toast!

9|ALAN CARR'S CHATTY MAN
Being a non-Brit, I had never heard of this talk show until I stumbled upon a clip of Alan Carr interviewing my beloved Adele. Since then I couldn't get enough Youtubing like a bloody mad man. Other than Adele, my faves were easily Jared Leto (swoon), Scissor Sisters (swoon x 4), Kylie Minogue (love) and Enrique Iglesias (swoon). The best part of the show, is when American celebrities realize that British Jesus doesn't mind certain words (that rhyme with 'Duck Hunt') as much as the USA Jesus does. Once again, further proof, I was a British lad in a previous life.

10|TOSH.0
Heeeeee's Baaaack! I adore Daniel Tosh's irreverent sassy take on some of the Internet's funniest videos and craziest web sensations. Even without Comedy Central, I'm able to enjoy his humor thanks to non other than the Internet he so brilliantly mocks.
.

11|EXIT THROUGH THE GIFT SHOP
This documentary from Sundance 2010 provided a fascinating look into the lives of street artists, specifically Thierry Guetta and the mysterious and fantastic Banksy (whom I just LOVE!) I find his work amazing, fascinating and inspiring. Exit Through The Gift Shop is also nominated for an Oscar this year for Best Documentary. My fingers are crossed that it comes home with the win. It deserves it. Be sure to check it out. [It's available on Netflix Watch Now.]

12|F**KIN' PERFECT by P!NK
P!nk is no stranger to the Love List, she's been mentioned several times now; she's a definite MVP in my humble opinion. (And it's my blog, so that's the only opinion that matters!) Her newest single and music video continue that tradition. Great music with an important message. I love this woman! She's F**kin' Perfect in my book. Rock on, rock on! Until the next shout out...

13|PEPPER JACK CHEESE
I used to be a provolone kinda guy. And a swiss guy. And a cheddar guy. This month I evolved to embrace a new entry into my cheeseography. Since I've been more health/nutrition conscious lately, I've cut out my delicious mayo [sad face] on my turkey sandwiches. The diet plan said I could have a piece of provolone cheese, but I find this gives just enough flavor to what other wise might be a bland lunch meal. Nom nom nom.
