Hot Tub Time Machine (Minus the Hot Tub)...
While doing the dishes I stumbled on a kitchen drawer lined with a newspaper from September 23, 1965(!) Check out some of these headlines:
Man Down By The River...
One of my all time favorite nature retreats is a one minute walk down from the cabin; on the banks of the Buffalo River. I make sure I take a couple journeys each year for a little 'me time' and just take in such beautiful splendor. Love it!
Ready, Set, Hike...
This year we 'did stuff' outdoors with a new and easy hike around the area. Malcolm was a trooper with his broken foot. (Hence the easy, not because I'm out of shape.) It was beautiful out, perfect day for such an adventure. (My Inception playlist served as the ultimate soundtrack!) Alas, no bears or mother moose like all the signs promised. But I did see one wildlife creature; photo below.
Au Reservoir...
No trip to the cabin would be complete without a ride to the dam... or the dump for that matter. Although the dam provides much (much) prettier background scenery. And smells better too.
