It was our seventh annual friends Christmas dinner this year. In the past we've all dressed up (to varying degrees) and went to a fancy restaurant. This year we decided to try something new and have a home cooked meal. Because several of my friends think they are Japanese, we also decided to mix it up and forgo the traditional fixings of ham and potatoes for something more exotic. With a couple pots of boiling water, some meat, tofu and veggies we dined on some delicious shabu shabu. It was a great new twist for our annual tradition. Good drinks. Good friends. Good fun... oh and GREAT presents. I can't wait until next year!
