Bloody fantastic!...

So I have a newest favorite thing... The C.M.O.N.S!

A sweet Brit (thanks Steven!) turned me on to Red, Moo, Blue, Cherri and White also known as the C.M.O.N.S. These colorful and very adorable puppets are currently being used in the marketing campaign for the New Vauxhall Corsa in Britain.




Here's with the official C'MON!PEDIA (ala Wikipedia, get it?) has to say about my favorite funky five-some.

THE C'M.O.N.S. are an alternative rock formation out of Barcelona Spain that have skyrocketed to international success in the last five years. They are a mixed group consisting of three men (White -drums, Red - base, and Blue - vocals) and two women (Cherri - guitars and Moo - keyboards). Their last names are a secret.

HOW THEY GOT STARTED

At the end of the 90’s, the C.M.O.N.S. were just five friends living in Barcelona, who all used to hang out at the same bar. According to the published biographies, the bar they met at is the now famous Rosso’s, not far from Barcelona’s landmark las Ramblas. Even before breaking into the big time, they all shared a love for street art. This love was always more artistic than political. Nowadays, one can see more and more of the self-styled stickers created by Red on European street corners. The friends quickly discovered another common bond: rock music. It was only a question of time until C.M.O.N.S. were born.

I've been fascinated with the little buggers ever since I saw the commercials that they star in. Have a look and tell me you're not addicted yourself! FYI: My favorite fact: Moo is "completely vegetarian, except for chicken, which she loves!"

Happy Valentine's Day. You are loved!

One-and-a-half blocks...

As you may have heard there was a major incident that occured last night at the Trolley Square Mall. An 18 year old gunman opened fire killing five and wounding four more before police shot him. You may not know, but I live exactly one-and-a-half blocks west of Trolley Square. It was crazy to hear all the police and ambulance sirens zooming by my front windows and helicopters flying over head, knowing all this was all going on just down the street from me. My heart goes out to the families of those that are injured and those no longer with us.

The ironic thing is that last July one-and-a-half blocks south of my house is where 5 year old Destiny Norton lived and found murdered. It seems like I live in the hood or something. Really I don't. I just happen to live a-block-and-a-half from two of Salt Lake's recent and notorious incidents.

You may or may not be familiar with the fact that in June of 2004 I attended the Impact Trainings and took on my life. I have not been the same in doing so. By getting in touch with my true self, who I AM and my purpose in this life, I live as an accountable being and I see and appreciate life for the beautiful gift that it is. Over the past two weeks I had the honor of showing up in service for my dear friends (family, actually) Scott and Jenn as they went through the trainings for themselves. I had the fortune of staffing both their Summit (January 31-February 3) and the first weekend of their Lift-Off. (February 10) It was miraculous to witness the transformation with my own eyes. It was beautiful and words cannot do it justice. Just know it was absolutely perfect! I am forever connected with the entire group of Lift Off 225 and am incredibly proud of each and every one of you.

Scott and Jenn, I honor you for taking on your life. The world is a better place because you're in it. Thank you for sharing this beautiful experience with me and inspiring me in so many ways. I love you! I love you! I love you!
